Cash payments will be canceled in buses and trolleybuses in Bishkek from July 1. Press service of Bishkek City Hall reported.
The City Hall reminded that switch to cashless payment system has been taking place for two years — since March 2020, the Swiss company BPC AG has been implementing Tulpar e-ticketing project in the capital.
Cash for travel on municipal transport will not be accepted from July 1 and Tulpar system will work in full.
Passengers can pay in the following ways:
— By Tulpar transport cards of three categories (standard, school, preferential);
— By VISA and ELCARD contactless cards of all banks of Kyrgyzstan;
— By virtual NFC card;
— By QR scanning in Tulpar application and Balance;
— By entering the transport code in Tulpar application.
Standard blue cards can be purchased at the offices of Kyrgyzpochtasy state enterprise, offices of mobile operators and from bus and trolleybus drivers. The cost of the card is 50 soms (it includes one trip). Location of blue standard card sales points can also be found here.
