Sadyr Japarov gets acquainted with Manas Aiyly reconstruction project

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov got acquainted with the project for reconstruction of Manas Aiyly ethnographic complex. Press service of the President reported.

«The task was set to restore the complex so that the residents, as well as guests of the capital, could spend time in it with pleasure,» the statement says.

The project provides for the reconstruction and expansion of Manas Aiyly complex from three to eight hectares. It is planned to build a three-storey yurt, which will have halls for holding various meetings. It is also planned to build Manas theater and Manas museum on the territory of the complex.

«One of the ideas of the project assumes that the guests of the complex will be able to hold ethno-cultural events in accordance with national traditions and rituals there. Sadyr Japarov instructed to start construction work promptly,» the press service reports.

The complex was transferred to the balance of the General Directorate of Bishkek Free Economic Zone in 1998. Manas Aiyly has been in a deplorable state for many years.

In 2019, the Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism Azamat Zhamankulov promised that he would study reconstruction options, if Manas Aiyly was transferred to the balance of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism.
