Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs, Defense, Security and Migration of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of GermanyGabriela Guellil. Press service of the Parliament reported.
The parties discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation and expansion of inter-parliamentary interaction, including through specialized committees and friendship groups.
Chingiz Aidarbekov stressed that the Kyrgyz-German cooperation is actively developing in all directions. He briefly informed about the internal political situation and transformations taking place in the country.
«There are a lot of areas on the agenda that require deep reforms — the social sphere and the economy. An analysis is being carried out now and the relevant laws are being developed. The experience of developed countries is important for us, and we count on the support of our partners,» he said.
Special attention was paid to the issues of environmental protection, climate change and implementation of projects aimed at preservation of the unique biosphere of Issyk-Kul lake. In addition, a proposal to enhance cooperation in the development of small business and women’s leadership in the regions, as well as improving the skills and educational level of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic was voiced.
In turn, Gabriela Guellil stressed the high level of bilateral relations and expressed interest in further deepening of cooperation in key areas of cooperation. She reported the readiness of the German side to cover the support program of the Parliament, for which a separate plan will be developed together with the Committee on International Affairs for deputies and staff of the Parliament.
