Spiritual Directorate of the Muslims of Kyrgyzstan (SDMK) determined the amount of sadaqa al-fitr for 2022. Press service of the muftiyat reported.
According to its data, sadaqa al-fitr per person is 1.6 kilograms of wheat (56 soms), raisins (717 soms), flour (80 soms) or 3.2 kilograms of barley (103 soms) and dates (596 soms).
The SDMK reminds that sadaqa al-fitr is equal in sum to the cost of one of these products. " Due to the instability of food prices, we ask to be guided by their weight. Sadaqa al-fitr should be donated by each person," the muftiyat says.
In addition, the SDMK has decided on the amount of zakat, an annual tax in favor of those in need. This donation must be at least 2.5 percent of property value.
As it is known, zakat is determined by the price of gold (85 grams of gold) and silver (612.36 grams).
According to the data of the muftiyat, in monetary terms, the fortieth part of 85 grams of gold is 7,013 soms, and 612.36 grams of silver is 1,041 soms.
