First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Arzybek Kozhoshev held a meeting of the republican commission on population and housing census. The Cabinet of Ministers reported.
The census will not only make it possible to find out the exact number of the population, but will also provide an opportunity to assess how the living conditions of people have changed. Management decisions will be made on the basis of the received data.
Chairman of the National Statistical Committee Baktybek Kudaibergenov said that 27,899 people are involved in the country’s population census, 321.9 million soms have been allocated from the republican budget for this. He also noted the insufficient work of local authorities in organizing the census, the lack of Internet connection, vehicles. Because of this, the work of census taker becomes more difficult.
In turn, Arzybek Kozhoshev criticized the work of the Ministry of Digital Development and Alfa Telecom CJSC on providing some villages in Jalal-Abad region with 4G Internet connection.
«There should be a single coordinated work of all involved state bodies. I give you time until the end of the working day to submit proposals for solving all technical problems,» he said.
According to the previously made decision, the population and housing census will be held on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic from March 25 to April 3. In remote areas of the country, it will be held from April 23 to May 2.
