Inadmissibility of wastefulness is mentioned in more than 20 points of the Holy Book of Muslims. Mufti of Kyrgyzstan Zamir Rakiev said.
According to him, excessive spending is characterized as a great sin in Islam.
«In fact, along with the standard of living of the population, the amount of unnecessary spending is growing. The money earned by our migrants over several years is spent in a couple of days. We forgot the Kyrgyz proverb — «you will need a coat after a feast.» The number of pretentious feasts and funeral receptions has only increased recently. Where is waste, there is poverty, where is indifference, there is illiteracy, and where is boasting, there is shamelessness,» the mufti says.
Zamir Rakiev supported the decree of President Sadyr Japarov on limiting the cost of funeral receptions.
«We started explanatory work among the population according to this decree. I would like to note that there are no such concepts as three days, forty days and the anniversary of death in Sharia,» the mufti said.
