Kyrgyz athletes Akzhol Makhmudov, Ernazar Akmataliev, Meerim Zhumanazarova and Aiperi Medet kyzy were included in the world ranking of the best wrestlers under 25 years old. The United World Wrestling (UWW) reports.
The UWW presented the best wrestlers who could put on a show throughout 2022.
«These stars, all under the age of 25 years, have proved their mettle in the past and are likely to continue, especially with the Paris Olympics just two years away,» the organization says.
The ranking consists of 25 athletes, including Greco-Roman, freestyle and women’s wrestling.
Bronze medalist of the Olympics, world champion Meerim Zhumanazarova took the sixth place in the ranking.
The silver medalist of the Olympic Games Akzhol Makhmudov took the 7th place.
The world champion among athletes under 23 Ernazar Akmataliev took the 15th place.
The world champion among wrestlers under 23 Aiperi Medet kyzy took the 17th place.
