A gold recovery plant will be put into operation at Terek-Sai field in the first quarter of 2022. It became known at the meeting of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov with the General Director of Eti Bakyr Tereksai mining company Veli Gekdere.
They discussed current issues of the production activities of the Kyrgyz-Turkish enterprise, including the fulfillment of environmental requirements and social obligations. As a result of the meeting, a number of instructions were given to the relevant state and local authorities.
Terek-Sai field is located in Terek-Sai village in Chatkal district of Jalal-Abad region. Eti Bakyr Tereksai LLP is a joint venture, 25 percent of the capital belongs to Kyrgyzaltyn JSC and 75 percent to the Turkish Eti Bakyr. The company employs more than 800 citizens of Kyrgyzstan.
