At least 63 crimes against citizens of Pakistan were registered in Kyrgyzstan for 11 months of 2021. The Cabinet of Ministers discussed the situation.
The Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baisalov held a meeting on the safe stay of foreign students on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.
«To date, 30,501 foreign citizens study on the territory of the republic, 9,285 of them are from Pakistan and 13,404 are from India. Each of them is a guest on our land and a bridge of friendship between our peoples. We want every student to receive not only excellent knowledge, but also to preserve a good memory of the country. I ordered to hold a meeting in the Cabinet of Ministers on issues of well-being and organizing special care for foreign students. The Cabinet also intends to ensure functioning of the friendship society in each university, so that each student is surrounded by attention and can get good impressions about our country,» Edil Baisalov said.
The officials intend to step up preventive measures, as well as conduct explanatory work on the procedure for the stay of foreign citizens on the territory of the republic.
