A citizen of Pakistan has been detained in Kyrgyzstan on suspicion of forging visas. The press center of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The Pakistani national M.T.K. organized a well-established channel for the production of fake visas and was involved in forging more than 100 electronic documents. He sold them to his fellow countrymen from Pakistan.

M.T.K. reportedly offered to arrange two two-month electronic visas for another Pakistani citizen, M.A. for $150, as well as four one-year visas at $1,700 each, totaling $6,800. As an advance payment, M.T.K. demanded and received 4,400 Kyrgyz soms. On April 22, the foreigner was caught red-handed while receiving part of the requested amount — 87,400 Kyrgyz soms.

The SCNS noted that the detainee, together with his accomplices, had produced more than 100 fake electronic visas for their compatriots arriving in Kyrgyzstan. He has been placed in the SCNS pre-trial detention center.
