RKDF approves 24 projects for $82 million for six months

The Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF) resumed work on issuing loans from July 1, 2021. The Chairman of the Board of the Fund Artem Novikov told reporters today.

According to him, during this time, 24 projects have been approved for a total of $82 million. In addition, six more projects have been submitted to the fund’s council for consideration. These are projects worth over $ 10 million. In particular, two projects are being considered: on the construction of a hydroelectric power station and the renewal of railway transport for Kyrgyz Temir Zholu state enterprise. There are projects of mobile services providers.

«There are also projects that we have financed through commercial banks. In total, 308 such projects were implemented in 2021 for more than $43 million. Almost 50 percent of projects are in the regions. This means that there is a more or less even distribution of funds. At least 8 new enterprises were launched and seven projects on modernization of existing companies were implemented thanks to the funding of the RKDF this year,» Artem Novikov told.
