Kurmanbek Bakiyev's niece to bring 100 electric cars to Kyrgyzstan

Symbat Maratbek, the niece of the former president of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiyev, will bring 100 electric cars to Kyrgyzstan in 2022. She herself told journalists.

Spark company, whose director she is, sells and services electric cars and installs electric charging stations.

«There are about 400 electric cars in Kyrgyzstan today. We are trying to use electric cars in public transportation and taxi services. One of the taxi services has bought 10 electric cars from our company. In January 2022, we will bring another 100 electric cars into the country,» Symbat Maratbek said.

She noted that the company also plans to install charging stations for electric cars at strategic locations and shopping centers in the country.

Symbat Maratbek is the daughter of the younger brother of the deposed president Kurmanbek Bakiyev, Marat Bakiyev, former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan to Germany.
