Model from India Harnaaz Sandhu won the international beauty pageant Miss Universe 2021. Official Twitter account of the competition says.
The new Miss Universe is 21 years old, she lives in Chandigarh and works as a model.
The final of the competition was held for the first time in Israel on the Red Sea coast.
The crown was handed to the Indian contestant by the previous pageant winner Andrea Meza from Mexico.
Lalela Mswane (South Africa) and Nadia Ferreira (Paraguay) took the second and third places, respectively.
The final top 10 also includes representatives of Aruba, Colombia, France, India, Paraguay, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, South Africa, the Bahamas and the United States.
According to the organizers of the competition, 80 girls took part in it.
