Migrants coming to Russia must be familiar with Russian laws and know the language. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights.
He urged migrants to learn the Russian language and Russian laws before coming to the country.
«But I completely agree with those who express concern about this matter. Here we need to act together with our colleagues from the CIS. We need to make sure that those people who would like to come to work in our country, have already prepared for this trip and for work here at home, studied the language, our laws, knew their rights, the customs of our people,» Vladimir Putin said.
Earlier, Sergei Mironov, the leader of Just Russia — For Truth party, demanded introduction of a temporary visa regime with the states of Central Asia. Alexander Bastrykin, chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, instructed to prepare legislative proposals for genomic registration of migrants who come to work in Russia.
