The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan will conduct an official investigation into the sale of COVID-19 vaccination certificates covered by the media. Press center of the ministry reported.
The Minister of Health Alymkadyr Beishenaliev held an emergency meeting with the participation of all leading specialists of the vaccination campaign against coronavirus infection.
He ordered to create a commission and conduct in the shortest possible time an official investigation on the facts voiced in the journalistic investigation. According to its results, the perpetrators will be disciplined, up to and including dismissal, and then the materials will be sent to law enforcement agencies for legal assessment.
Alymkadyr Beishenaliev added that the heads of healthcare organizations of the country are personally responsible for the proper vaccination campaign against coronavirus, and instructed to strengthen control over the progress of work on vaccination of the population against coronavirus infection.
«The leadership of the country, the Ministry of Health is doing a large amount of work to make vaccines available to the population, to ensure that our citizens are vaccinated and to reduce the number of fatal cases of COVID-19. Such cases undermine public confidence in the vaccination campaign. Therefore, if proven guilty, all perpetrators must be punished accordingly,» he said.
