Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Edil Baisalov, met with Gabriela Guellil, who took up the duties of the Ambassador of Germany to Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the Cabinet reported.
The official said that the Kyrgyz side attaches great importance to cooperation, development and strengthening of friendly relations with Germany as one of the main international partners. He stressed that during the recent COP26 Climate Change Conference in Glasgow, the President Sadyr Japarov, on behalf of the Kyrgyz people, expressed his admiration for the merits of the outgoing Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel and wished her good health and success in her future activities.
The German Ambassador drew attention to the fact that the perinatal center in Bishkek has not been able to start functioning in full for three years due to unresolved issues on the construction of access roads and connection to city engineering and communal systems.
Edil Baisalov noted that this issue had been overlooked by previous governments.
The parties also discussed the current status of bilateral cooperation, the possibility of its expansion and activation, as well as issues of providing comprehensive assistance in the implementation of previously reached agreements. In particular, a number of proposals were voiced in the field of financing construction of healthcare institutions in the regions of the country.
