StrategEast: Government and IT forum is held in Bishkek for the first time. It is attended by the Minister of Digital Development Dastan Dogoev and national experts from different sectors.
The forum takes place once a year in one of the Eurasian capitals and serves as a platform for dialogue between governments and IT industry leaders. Previously, similar events were held in Kiev (Ukraine) and Tbilisi (Georgia). It is held in Kyrgyzstan this year. The co-organizer is the Ministry of Digital Development.
The forum brings together leaders of the global and Kyrgyz IT industry, high-ranking officials from Eurasian states, the USA, the European Union responsible for the development of IT, representatives of international organizations, heads of IT associations from Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
The main achievement of the forum is the opening of an office of one of the largest engineering companies in the world EPAM (capitalization on the stock exchange in New York exceeds $40 billion, the company's offices operate in more than 40 countries of the world on five continents) in Bishkek.
A fund of $100 million was also set up. It will support startups in Central Asia with 50 percent investment in projects in Kyrgyzstan.
