It is planned to build a new tunnel on Bishkek — Osh highway. The Deputy Minister of Transport and Roads of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Berdaliev told at a press conference.
According to him, the tunnel will appear on the 110-115th kilometer. The estimated cost of the project is $235-250 million.
«The length of the route is 11 kilometers. The tunnel is planned to be built as part of public-private partnership. Its use will be paid; the project will reach self-financing in about 15 years. The feasibility study of the road is being worked out,» Bakyt Berdaliev said.
