Abai Street was opened for traffic in Bishkek. Press service of the Bishkek City Administration reported.
Repair work took place in the area between Mederov and Gorky Streets. Repairs began on March 25 and were completed ahead of schedule.
The City Administration added that Abay Street was repaired in the framework of the project «Restoration of Road Surface in Bishkek.» It provides for the replacement of the roadway and installation of new curbs.
In total, the project covers 23 streets with a total length of 38 kilometers. Works on 18 of them, including Abay Street, have already been completed. At present, they continue on three more streets — Altymyshev, Repin and Nurkamal.
