Only 17 out of 47 housing estates in Bishkek are supplied with gas. Balbak Tulobaev, head of the executive office of the Bishkek City Administration, said at a meeting of Kyrgyzstan parliamentary faction.
According to him, the city administration continues to supply the private sector with gas that will reduce the level of air pollution.
«In addition, 400-500 bath houses operate in the capital in each district. They are heated with coal, which affects the ecology,» Balbak Tulobaev said.
He added that unpaved roads also contribute to air pollution.
Parliament members hear information about the ecological state of Bishkek and Osh cities.
