President of Russia Vladimir Putin summed up the results of the state visit to Kyrgyzstan. According to him, the republic is a strategic partner and trusted friend of the Russian Federation.
«We paid special attention to the trade and economic relations. Trade turnover grew by 17 percent. 12 joint projects for $ 71 million were launched. I would like to note that Russian enterprises are represented in all strategic sectors of the Kyrgyz Republic. There are almost 700 joint ventures in Kyrgyzstan,» said Vladimir Putin.
He added that Gazprom was actively working on gas infrastructure development in the country’s regions and intends to increase the figure to 60 percent. «Russia has been supplying oil and oil products to the Kyrgyz Republic since 2011. The total investment in Jerooy gold deposit will amount to 600 million. The Russian Federation is helping Kyrgyzstan to adapt in EEU. The customs infrastructure is being updated. By 2020, products will undergo certification in the republic,» Vladimir Putin stressed.
