The Agency for the Protection and Promotion of Investments of Kyrgyzstan and the Russian energy technology group Ruselprom signed a memorandum of cooperation for $ 1.5 billion. The ceremony took place today at the 8th Kyrgyz-Russian conference.
«The memorandum deals with implementation of a package of investment projects in the field of hydropower industry, including construction of both small and large hydropower plants, assembling of hydroelectric complexes. A working group from the Russian Federation will arrive in Kyrgyzstan in the near future. We will begin to develop a roadmap for the implementation of the memorandum. We will proceed to concrete steps,» Adilbek uulu Shumkarbek, Director of the Agency for the Promotion and Protection of Investments, explained.
During the conference, the Russian Center LLC decided to become a resident of the Kyrgyz High-Tech Park.
Memorandums of cooperation for $ 54 million have been signed during the conference.
