Compared with the first month of 2018, the figure grew by $ 16.8 million. At the same time, unlike in last December, the inflow of transfers, on the contrary, fell by $ 40.7 million.
Russia accounts for more than 90 percent of remittances — $ 161.7 million.
USA takes the second place in terms of transfers with $ 2.3 million. At least $ 1.2 million has been transferred from other countries. It is interesting that no transfers from Kazakhstan have been registered this year.
In January 2019, there was an outflow of funds in the amount of $ 34.1 million. The main part of these funds was transferred to Russia — $ 33.8 million.
Thus, the net inflow of remittances to Kyrgyzstan for the first month of this year is estimated at $ 131.1 million.
Recall, as a result of 2018, the inflow of remittances to the republic is estimated at $ 2,685.3 billion. At least $ 542.2 million were transferred from the Kyrgyz Republic to other countries. Net inflow of remittances to the country amounted to $ 2,143.1 billion.
