Illegal workshop for production of mineral fertilizers was detected in Kyzyl-Kiya town, Batken region of Kyrgyzstan. The State Service for Combating Economic Crimes informed 24.kg news agency.
The state service received a statement that unknown persons produced mineral fertilizers in an artisanal way. It was found out that this workshop did not obtain permits for production, processing and packaging of mineral fertilizers.
«A search was conducted in the workshop on a basis of a court ruling, during which bags with characteristic signs of mineral fertilizers and equipment for production and processing of mineral fertilizers were found. At the time of the search, the equipment was actively exploited by the workers,» the state service told.
The ministry noted that the manufactured products were not certified and had not passed laboratory tests. This means that they can be dangerous for both crops and human health.
The State Service for Combating Economic Crimes recommends citizens to be vigilant when purchasing mineral fertilizers and ask for certificates of origin of goods from sellers.
