Stripping the ex-president of immunity puts an end to the peaceful transfer of power. The official representative of the Social Democratic Party of Kyrgyzstan Kunduz Zholdubaeva told at a press conference.
According to her, the amendments to the Law on Guarantees of President’s Activities were drawn up specifically for the former head of state Almazbek Atambayev.

She was supported by deputies of the Parliament Irina Karamushkina and Asel Koduranova. Irina Karamushkina reminded that when the SDPK, fulfilling the will of Almazbek Atambayev, put forward a single presidential candidate Sooronbai Jeenbekov, the main condition was not to allow family and clan rule.
«But then brothers, relatives, classmates came to power. Representatives of the Bakievs team returned. Naturally, when Almazbek Atambayev pointed this out to his successor, Sooronbai Jeenbekov did not like it, and now it is what it is: doubtful project SDPK without Atambayev, then these amendments on deprivation of immunity,» Irina Karamushkina said.
Asel Koduranova stressed that she did not agree with the amendments. She believes that the procedure of stripping the ex-president of immunity should be as complicated as the abdication of the head of state of the post through impeachment.
