New Ministers of Transport and Roads Zhanat Beishenov and Finance Baktygul Zheenbaeva took the oath in the presence of the President. The ceremony took place today at a meeting of the Parliament.
Recall, Baktygul Zheenbaeva became the Minister of Finance after the unexpected resignation of Adylbek Kasymaliev. She was appointed to the post in mid-December 2018.
Baktygul Zheenbaeva previously headed the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan, Ayil Bank, was the Chairwoman of the Board of the State Mortgage Company. Until recently, she was an adviser to the head of state.
Zhanat Beishenov replaced the Minister of Transport and Roads Zhamshitbek Kalilov. In early December, at the Security Council meeting, President Sooronbai Jeenbekov was outraged by the presence of Zhamshitbek Kalilov, saying that it was a shame. On December 5, the Deputy Minister of Transport and Roads Azimkan Zhusubaliev was detained while receiving a bribe of $ 50,000. As a result, the head of the Ministry of Transport resigned.
