The criminal case against the former Interior Minister of Kyrgyzstan Moldomusa Kongantiev was sent to court. Press center of the State Committee for National Security reported.
The Lieutenant General was charged with negligence, abuse of office.
The Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek will investigate the case.
Recall, the former Interior Minister Moldomusa Kongantiev was accused of abuse of office during the April 2010 events.
After April 7, 2010, Moldomusa Kongantiev left Kyrgyzstan. He was detained in Moscow by the FSB of Russia and extradited to Bishkek. On April 26, 2010, he was taken into custody by the decision of the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek. Moldomusa Kongantiev was questioned as part of the investigation into the events that took place on April 6-7, 2010 in Talas and Bishkek; the investigators decided that the general should be arrested. However, he was later released. In July 2018, the criminal case against the lieutenant general was dismissed, but it was resumed in December.
