The Asian Championship is held on July 7-15 in Colombo (Sri Lanka). The tournament in rapid chess has come to an end today. Participants had seven rounds. Kyrgyzstani Tilekmatali Sulaimanov scored 5.5 points and won a silver award among the boys up to 11. Among girls under 13, Nuray Sovetbekova, having gained the same number of points, won the bronze medal.
Six rounds out of nine planned have been already played at classical chess tournament.
