Air Manas, Avia Traffic Company and TezJet airlines decided to reduce the cost of tickets for Bishkek-Osh-Bishkek flights following an agreement with the government of Kyrgyzstan. The Prime Minister’s press office reported.
One way Bishkek — Osh — Bishkek tickets will be sold for 2,007 soms when the Ministry of Emergency Situations announces a storm warning. This air ticket price is 27 percent lower than regular prices.
The government noted that restrictions for land transport would be introduced at Too-Ashuu pass and other difficult sections of Bishkek-Osh highway in case of a storm warning.
That is, during this period, citizens will be able to use services of airlines on preferential terms.
After storm warning lifting, the air tickets will be sold in accordance with the approved air ticket price list.
Earlier, Prime Minister Sapar Isakov instructed the Ministry of Transport and Roads, together with domestic airlines, to work out the issue of lowering prices for domestic flights in the winter.
«Taking into account the natural, climate and geographical conditions of our republic, the movement of road transport along Bishkek-Osh road in winter is extremely unsafe. The number of road accidents in winter on this route increases. In order to create conditions for fast and safe movement of citizens from Bishkek to Osh and vice versa, an agreement was reached with airlines to reduce ticket prices for Bishkek-Osh-Bishkek flights in bad weather conditions,» the head of government noted.
