Kyrgyzstan suggests to rebury victims of Stalinist purges

Re-bury the victims of Stalinist purges in Kyrgyzstan is suggested. MP Kanybek Imanaliev made such an initiative today at the session of the Parliament.

«We need to pass a decree of the Parliament to mark the 80^th anniversary of the repressions at the high level next year. Twenty thousand of our citizens, representatives of the political elite were shot. It is necessary to clarify all their names and issue a book. This will be our respect,» the Deputy said.

«Many are buried in Vasilievka and Kamyshanovka, we must rebury them according to Muslim customs,» Kanybek Imanaliev added.
