CEC ready to announce results of presidential elections until November 5

The Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan will announce the results of the presidential elections until November 5. The member of CEC, Nazarali Aripov, told 24.kg news agency.

According to him, the Central Election Commission can announce the results on November 1 or 2.

«The new president must take office after the official publication of the results within 30 calendar days. Inauguration of Almazbek Atambayev took place on December 1, 2011. That is, Sooronbai Jeenbekov will take the oath no later than on this date, according to the Constitution,» Nazarali Aripov explained.

Presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan were held on October 15. The first round was won by the representative from SDPK, former Prime Minister Sooronbai Jeenbekov. According to preliminary data, 54.79 percent of voters voted for him.
