Electoral legislation aimed at oligarchization of Kyrgyzstan’s politics

The electoral legislation is aimed at oligarchization of the politics of Kyrgyzstan. The head of the legal clinic Adilet, Cholpon Dzhakupova, said at the roundtable «Electoral Legislation: Problems and Ways of Improvement.»

Lawyers of the clinic conducted an analysis of the electoral legislation. The deputies of the profile committee of the Parliament were invited for discussion.

«Politicians do not feel responsible for their actions. They only say that oligarchs should not be allowed to rule. But the amendments on increasing the electoral deposit contradict their words. Updated legislation is aimed at oligarchization of the politics,» Cholpon Dzhakupova said.
