The deputy from the parliamentary faction SDPK Dastan Bekeshev sued five Kyrgyz-language publications, the Committee to Protect Freedom of Expression reported to 24.kg news agency.
According to its data, the reason for this was publications about the conflict in the Blind and Deaf Association. Dastan Bekeshev believes that the newspapers distributed unreliable information, and journalists hurt his honor and dignity.
The member of the Parliament estimated his honor and dignity at 5 million soms — each of five suits for one million soms.
Dastan Bekeshev himself had previously told 24.kg news agency that journalists should understand what self-censorship was and not to slander.
