Almazbek Atambayev: Kyrgyz nomad camp found its way

«The Kyrgyz nomad camp has found its way," President Almazbek Atambayev said at a meeting of the National Council for Sustainable Development.

He reminded: many of the politicians were against the council when it was created. Politicians said that this was wrong and did not comply with the Constitution. There were talks that the President went beyond the scope of his powers.

«The past time has shown that the decision was right and important. It was hard four years ago- the country and the people did not know what to do. Deputies were engaged in their own business, the government changed every year. The state needed to develop at least a five-year road map. If it was not adopted, the country would have completely descended, there would have been poverty," Almazbek Atambayev stressed.

The head of state reminded that the country was in a difficult situation during the first meeting of the National Council for Sustainable Development on April 7, 2012. Two months before that the roads were blocked, there were rallies, seizures of administrative buildings, and the authorities had to resolve gas and electricity supplies issues.

«Foreign political scientists and politicians said that Kyrgyzstan failed as a country and it would not exist in the near future. Thank God, these times have passed," the President concluded.
