Kyrgyzstan has only 162 fire engines with expired service life

Kyrgyzstan can not find money for the purchase of fire engines. Deputy Torobay Zulpukarov announced today at a meeting of Parliament.

According to him, the republic has established 87 fire stations with 162 engines, the service life of which has expired.

«Moreover, fire fighting staff was reduced by 30 percent. We buy public transport, and have no funds for purchase of fire engines. The existing vehicles can extinguish a fire in a building that has not more than 9 floors, and we build 20-storey buildings. It is necessary to provide loans or grants to upgrade the fire stations," Torobay Zulpukarov suggested.
