The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has introduced amendments to the regulation governing the use of funds allocated for epidemic control and preventive measures.
According to the document, the list of permitted expenditures now officially includes the purchase of vaccines and epidemiological reagents.
The changes were made to Government Resolution No. 194 dated April 3, 2020. The updated version stipulates that funds allocated for anti-epidemic measures may be used to purchase necessary vaccines and laboratory reagents to prevent the spread of infections.
The Ministry of Health has been instructed to take measures to implement the resolution. It is also clarified that financing will be carried out within the already approved budget of the Ministry of Health for the relevant years.
The resolution will enter into force in 15 days.
