Law enforcement officers have been detained in Jalal-Abad region for taking a bribe, the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported.
According to the investigation, a deputy head of the regional police department and an investigator demanded $2,000 in exchange for terminating an inspection and refusing to initiate a criminal case.
Both officers have been placed in a temporary detention facility of the SCNS. The investigation is ongoing.
