The Kettlebell Lifting Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic announced the victory of Islam Narynbekov at the California Open IKO World Championship for Clubs & Individuals, which took place in San Francisco, California, USA.
He won a gold medal in the over 95 kilogram weight class in the combined event, performing with 32×32 kilogram kettlebells. The competition brought together the world’s top athletes from different countries.
In addition to competing, Islam Narynbekov was also invited to serve on the championship’s panel of judges as an international judge. He successfully combined judging with his competition, demonstrating the high trust and recognition he enjoys from the global sports community.
I step onto the podium not only for personal victory, but for the country and those who believe in me. Every title is the result of discipline, hard work, and responsibility.

He also conveyed words of support to his brother, Nurlan, who is currently going through a difficult time.
«But despite everything, I am confident he will cope. We are a family, and we always move forward, no matter what,» Islam Narynbekov emphasized.
The federation noted that the athlete’s victory in the United States was a significant achievement for domestic sport and once again confirmed the high level of training of Kyrgyz athletes on the international stage.
