Kyrgyzstan ranked 79th out of 107 in the Visa Index 2025 passport ranking.
According to the ranking, citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic can visit 27 countries without a visa, obtain a visa on arrival in 35 countries, apply for an eTA (electronic entry permit) in one country, obtain an eVisa in 40 countries, and apply for a visa in advance in 126 countries.
Among the Central Asian countries, Kyrgyzstan was second only to Kazakhstan, which ranked 63rd. Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan can travel to 44 countries without a visa and obtain one upon arrival in 36 countries.
Nevertheless, the Kyrgyz Republic has overtaken other Central Asian countries:
- Uzbekistan — 80th place (28 countries without a visa, 33 — upon arrival);
- Tajikistan — 84th place (23 countries without a visa, 33 — on arrival);
- Turkmenistan — 92nd place (14 countries without a visa, 33 — on arrival).
Compared to other post-Soviet countries, Kyrgyzstan lags noticeably behind:
- Estonia — 11th place (142 countries without a visa, 30 — on arrival);
- Lithuania — 12th place (140 countries without a visa, 30 — on arrival);
- Latvia — 12th place (141 countries without a visa, 30 — on arrival);
- Ukraine — 28th place (110 countries without a visa, 37 — on arrival);
- Georgia — 45th place (84 countries without a visa, 40 — on arrival);
- Belarus — 60th place (48 countries without a visa, 36 — on arrival).
