Construction of 100-bed multidisciplinary hospital starts in Cholpon-Ata city

Construction of a 100-bed multidisciplinary hospital has begun in Cholpon-Ata city on the territory of the General Medical Practice Center of Issyk-Kul district. The press center of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan reported.

In his speech, Health Minister Alymkadyr Beishenaliev noted that the state is striving to create all the conditions for keeping and improving the health of citizens.

At least 282 million soms were allocated from the state budget for the construction of the new building of the General Medical Practice Center. The minister said that the construction of the hospital will significantly improve the quality of medical care provided to residents of Cholpon-Ata, and all the necessary conditions will also be created for all tourists.

«Cholpon-Ata is developing from year to year. More than 1 million people have had a vacation there this year. There has always been a shortage of beds in the hospital, so the construction of a new hospital is very important. The building will be equipped with the necessary medical equipment. In May of this year, the construction of a 350-bed hospital began, and the Tyup General Medical Practice Center was recently put into operation. In general, 20 new hospitals are planned to be built in the country in the coming years. This year, the salaries of health workers have been increased, and there will be a further gradual increase in the coming years. We strive to create all the conditions for our health workers and the population,» Alymkadyr Beishenaliev said.

The three-story building with a total area of 2,958.88 square meters will house an emergency medical care department, maternity and gynecological departments, and a surgical department. Capsules have been laid this year at the construction sites of new hospitals on the territory of the Issyk-Kul Regional Combined Hospital, Osh City Clinical Hospital and the National Center for Maternal and Child Welfare.
