A number of agreements were signed during the state visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Kyrgyzstan. The press service of the President reported.
The main document is a joint statement, which will raise relations between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey to a new level — a comprehensive strategic partnership.
In addition, several agreements were signed covering various areas:
- Cooperation in the field of security between the governments of the two countries;
- Joint production of audiovisual services;
- Management of the Bishkek Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship Hospital and training of doctors in Turkey;
- Animal health protection and trade in animals;
- Cooperation in the energy sector, including energy efficiency and energy saving;
- Product quality control and market safety;
- Agreements on organ transplantation and training of personnel in the field of cynology;
- Memorandums of cooperation in the field of migration, finance, as well as in archive-keeping and public administration.
According to the press service, agreements were also signed on the defense industry and the write-off of Kyrgyzstan’s external debt to Turkey.
