Murder of Rakhima Aikymbaeva: Ex-husband sentenced to 15 years in prison

The Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek has completed consideration of a criminal case against citizen on the murder of 34-year-old Rakhima Aikymbaeva. The court reported.

The court found the man guilty of committing the murder of the mother of three children and sentenced him to 15 years in prison to be served in a prison colony with general regime. The court also ruled to confiscate the criminal’s property. The defendant was ordered to pay 300,000 soms in compensation for moral damage in favor of the victim.

Rakhima Aikymbaeva died on April 3,2024 at the hands of her ex-husband. She provided cleaning services and was raising three children alone. The 33-year-old man was arrested for the murder with particular cruelty.
