Artists from Basicolors art group created a new mural in the capital KYZ POWER — THE POWER OF A LEOPARD.
The series of murals KYZ POWER raises the importance of the topic of equality and equal opportunities for the harmonious development of society. The new mural was created as part of the upcoming Bishkek Urban Forum with the financial support of the Goethe Institute and the Alliance Française in Bishkek. The mural is located on the embankment in the 10th microdistrict of Bishkek.
The mural is located in an unusual public urban space — in a mini-park, which was created this summer by the residents of the capital on the initiative of urbanist Nail Nasritdinov. The funds for the creation of the public space were collected by the organizers through fundraising campaigns on the Internet.
The mural depicts a girl, behind whom a snow leopard rises majestically, demonstrating its power by emitting a loud roar. The image of the snow leopard reinforces the idea of natural strength, which is associated with girls’ courage and fortitude. This mural is designed to remind of the strength and fortitude of the spirit of every girl and woman.
Basicolors is a Bishkek-based art group that has been creating large murals and graffiti in Kyrgyzstan and abroad since 1998.
