Canning plant for 410 million soms opened in Chui region

A new plant was opened in Chui region in the structure of BaiElim agriculture holding, which has been operating in the market of Kyrgyzstan for 22 years. The new enterprise Bai Organic is engaged in the processing and production of food products.

Speaking at the opening of the plant, President Sadyr Japarov noted that Kyrgyzstan, as an agricultural country, considers agriculture to be one of the key sectors of the economy, and the processing of agricultural products occupies an important place in it.

«This sector ensures food security, creates jobs and promotes the development of exports in the country. Today we are attending the opening of Bai Elim agricultural processing plant, which is a striking example of our state policy in this area,» Sadyr Japarov noted.

It is expected that the new enterprise will provide the region with permanent jobs for 70-100 people, and during the processing season — up to 800-1,500.

The main products of the plant will be organic fruits and vegetables, which will be sold on the shelves of Bai Elim branded stores, markets and retail outlets throughout the country. The enterprise is capable of processing up to 500 tons of tomatoes per day, various types of fruits and vegetables, including up to 200 tons of apricots, apples, pears, carrots and zucchini daily.

The total area of the plant, located in Petrovka village, is 4 hectares, of which 20,000 square meters are allocated for production and storage facilities. The total investment in the construction and launch of the enterprise amounted to about 410 million soms, of which 220 million were spent on modern equipment.

Sadyr Japarov noted the merits of the director of the company Bai Elim Rysgul Akimzhanova, who made a significant contribution to increasing the volume of processing of agricultural products, introducing new progressive innovations in production and trade. A striking example of this is the opening of today’s plant for processing of agricultural products.

The President added that the company with more than 20 years of experience intends to export 70 percent of the new plant’s products to the international market. He expressed confidence that this plant would be an important contribution to the promotion of Kyrgyzstan on the world stage, emphasizing that the state attaches great importance to the processing sector and is ready to provide comprehensive support.

«Bai Organic plant is an important step in the implementation of the National Development Strategy, one of the areas of which is the creation of jobs and support for farmers. The launch of the enterprise will allow farmers to reduce the costs of growing, harvesting, transporting and storing agricultural products. They will have the opportunity for long-term planning and growing according to pre-agreed varieties and volumes with a fixed price, which is very important,» Rysgul Akimzhanova said.

The plant was built in accordance with international standards ISO 22000 and ISO 9001. This also helps to provide the domestic market and markets of near and far abroad with organic products. About 70 percent of the products of Bai Elim holding are sold abroad, the export volume amounted to 63.7 million soms from 2020 to 2023.

«The mission of our company is to produce high-quality products. We use the most modern equipment and the latest technologies to ensure the highest level of production. Strict quality standards are observed at all stages, and raw materials and packaging are supplied only from trusted partners. This approach guarantees that our products meet customer expectations and always maintain high standards,» Rysgul Akimzhanova emphasized.

The holding’s management plans to launch a large-scale partnership program that will attract up to 1,000 farmers. It will include training in modern technologies for growing agricultural products, distributing highly productive varieties of seeds and seedlings, providing farmers with environmentally friendly fertilizers and pest control products. Farmers will also be able to count on the advisory support of agronomists and other specialists.
