The Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs, Defense, Security and Migration of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan Ulan Primov met with Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of Russia Boris Chernyshov. The press service of the Parliament reported.
According to it, the parties discussed in detail the priority areas of Kyrgyzstan — Russia cooperation, as well as further deepening of the inter-parliamentary dialogue.
In particular, an exchange of views took place on developing trade and economic relations, monitoring the fulfillment of mutual obligations within the EAEU, avoiding unjustified restrictions for citizens of the union member countries and providing legal benefits to Kyrgyz migrants.
Touching upon the migration situation, Ulan Primov drew special attention to the increasing number of cases of denial of entry to the Russian Federation for citizens of Kyrgyzstan and lengthy verification procedures in the border control zones of Russian airports. He added that Kyrgyzstanis also appeal on issues of refusal to enroll children in educational institutions in Moscow and Moscow Oblast.
The MP asked his colleagues from the State Duma to assist in resolving these problems and obtaining clear explanations from the competent authorities of Russia on these issues. «Being within the framework of the EAEU, citizens of Kyrgyzstan should have a differentiated approach,» he said.
Boris Chernyshov reported that negotiations on the issues raised would be held at various levels, including with the leadership of the Moscow Department of Education. He emphasized the readiness of the Russian side to discuss current issues that are important for strengthening bilateral cooperation.
