According to preliminary data, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Kyrgyzstan for January-August 2024 amounted to 797.7 billion soms, which is 6.6 percent more than for the same period last year. The National Statistical Committee reported.
The growth was achieved through commodity production, services and taxes on products.
Commodity production increased by 8.8 percent, services — by 5.4 percent, and net taxes on products — by 6.4 percent.
Sectors providing services take the largest share in the structure of GDP (49.5 percent), but their share decreased by 2.2 percent. At the same time, the share of commodity production grew to 31.8 percent (1.8 percent increase), including due to construction and industry. The share of agriculture remained at the same level.
