At least 71 percent of grain crops have been harvested from the fields in Kyrgyzstan. The Ministry of Agriculture reported.
According to the ministry, the pace of harvesting this year is at a higher level than for the same period last year.
About 221,100 tons of potatoes have been harvested, which is 14,600 tons more than in 2023. The highest figure was registered in Issyk-Kul and Chui regions.
The harvesting of vegetables and melons is proceeding at a good pace — 451,200 and 186,300 tons have been harvested, respectively, which is 119,800 tons more than last year.
At least 351,200 hectares of grain crops (wheat and barley) have been harvested. The average yield of wheat is 29.4 centners per hectare, barley — 25.8 centners per hectare, which is 6.4 — 4.8 centners per hectare more than last year.
