Mining and processing plant opened in Alai district

A mining and processing plant of Periti Koal company was opened in Kyzyl-Bulak area of Alai district, Osh region. The press service of the Presidential Envoy to the region reported.

The Presidential Envoy to Osh region Elchibek Dzhantaev noted that the plant would become an example for other coal producers, because there is a need to produce clean enriched solid fuel, without harming the environment, by processing fine coal.

It is noted that from 2004 to 2023 more than 1 million tons of fine coal and dumps have been accumulated during mining. To get enriched solid fuel from it, last year, for the first time in the republic, the entrepreneur built a mining and processing plant for 80 million soms. Scheduled experimental testing was carried out. At least 25 jobs were created.

The production capacity of the plant to date is about 1,200 tons per day. It produces 36,000 tons of clean neutralized enriched coal per month.
