Belarus appoints new Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan

First Deputy Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Asein Isaev accepted copies of credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Kyrgyz Republic Sergei Molunov.

The parties exchanged views on priority areas and prospects for increasing interstate cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Belarus, and also noted the high level of Kyrgyzstan-Belarus cooperation in all areas, both at the bilateral level and within international organizations.

«The potential for interaction between Belarus and Kyrgyzstan is very significant,» Sergei Molunov previously said to Belarusian journalists.

«The head of state called Belarus’s relations with the Kyrgyz Republic brilliant. Indeed, it is so. We very much value the level of existing relations — friendly, allied — between Belarus and the Kyrgyz Republic, which are based on deep historical roots and a heroic historical past,» the diplomat added.

Andrei Strachko completed his mission as Ambassador of Belarus in Bishkek in March.
