President signs law on new flag of Kyrgyzstan

The President signed the law on the new flag of Kyrgyzstan on Friday. The Law on Amendments to the Law on State Symbols of the Kyrgyz Republic, which was adopted by the Parliament on December 20, 2023, comes into force.

As the executive office of the head of state explained, the document was adopted in order to improve one of the main state symbols of the Kyrgyz Republic — the country’s flag.

The wave-like shape of the sun’s rays has been changed, they have become straight.

The law also stipulates that all types of official documents with the image of the state flag of the Kyrgyz Republic are valid until the expiration of their validity period, and vehicle license plates and vehicle registration certificates with the image of the state flag of the Kyrgyz Republic are valid until the relevant authority makes a decision to replace them.
